It has been a long time since our lastpost! So here's an update...
Our baby girl is doing great! Gracie is a sweet, loving, caring, polite and funny little girl! She is also a wonderful little helper...
Our Lil' Cupcake is growing so fast, sometimes it's hard keeping up with her! She's so young yet she has a sense of humor, she likes to make us laugh. She wants to do everything we do and always have a million questions about how things work or why things happen- she needs to make sense of her world and everything happening around her!
More about our baby girl lately…
Height 38 inches tall
Weight 32 lbs
Some of Gracie’s favorites: She loves anything pink and sparkly, Anything Disney princess(especially Sleeping Beauty), Minnie Mouse, playing dress up, bubbles, makeup, shoes, drawing, storybooks, tea parties, stickers, bubble baths, jumping, singing, smelling flowers, Blue’s clues and ice cream.
Our home is filled with giggles, laughter and silliness!
Here’s some of the things we did during August,
September and October…
August
2014
We celebrated our baby girl’s 3rd birthday!!!
Of
course we had three separate celebrations for her...
Her first celebration was at home (just our little family) on her actual birthday 8/25/14- Since our baby girl love tea parties... that’s exactly what we did for her.
A tea party with balloons, presents and all kinds of goodies, sweet tea and a tiny cake just for her :0)we also visited one of her favorite places ( Dutch wonderland!)
Second celebration (August 30th 2014)
Following Saturday with family and friends- She had an
awesome circus theme party with bouncy house, games, prizes, clowns, face
painting, balloons, cotton candy, popcorn and all kinds of circus-related
goodies! It was so awesome to see her happy and very surprised little face when
we took her into her uncle’s back yard where the celebration took place, it was
just priceless! We all had so much fun!!!
Third celebration (the next day August 31, 2014)
Celebration took place at her Lola’s house with Daddy’s
side of the family.
Of course it was a Disney princess celebration with lots of
balloons, cake, good food and lots of presents!
Our baby girl was so
happy and loved her parties so much that for the next few weeks she asked every
day if it was her birthday :0)
As we planned her birthday celebration(s) I became very emotional. So very happy to have the opportunity to celebrate with our daughter, finally having her with us, thanking God for the privilege and hoping that somehow, someway her birth mother
know in her heart that our baby girl is healthy, happy, safe and loved.
We released a balloon to honor her in this special day.
September 2014
We celebrated our first Gotcha day! (September 8, 2014)
We are so blessed; we are humbled, we are grateful! Words
can’t describe how we feel about the gift God has given us! God chose US to be
Gracie’s parents. We pray for continued guidance as we raise our precious
daughter. It has been such an amazing
year together! We have such an amazing
little girl, she is so perfect for us. It feels unreal sometimes, we are just
amazed!
To celebrate our special day we stayed at Great Wolf Lodge (another Gracie-favorite). As a gotcha day present we gave our baby girl an engraved music box ("Mommy and Daddy will love you forever" and a necklace. She loves it! Every day she gently opens the box to listen to the music and see the ballerina dance, when she's done she gently closes the box. She's too cute!
It’s a wonderful life!
Thank you Lord for all our blessings…
