It has been a while since the last post! One of our goals
for the New Year was to keep our blog posts up to date to document important
milestones and keep updated pictures of our baby girl but life happens and next
thing we know… it has been months since our last post! Oh well all we can do is
keep trying right?
Our baby girl is growing so fast! She is a bright little girl. She is learning
so many new things and we enjoy seeing her face light up with every
accomplishment.
Our girl is a total chatter box! She talks day and night
(seriously) sometimes we tell her Gracie quiet please and she lowers her voice
to a whisper and continues the conversation, too cute :0)
She is our little shadow following us everywhere we go, she
is a great little helper and she is sweet and polite. She loves to cuddle and
shower us with hugs and kisses She would say or do silly things just to make us
laugh. Our home is filled with giggles and all kinds of noise. She learn the
lyrics of popular songs and all we hear around our home is her little singing
voice- Our girl is a happy-go-lucky girl full of life and energy. She is all
about pink and sparkles. She still loves shopping, anything princess, lipstick,
shoes and all things girly. It is not about bragging all kids learn at their
own pace, for some people our girl maybe “average” for a three year old but for
us she is just a smart cookie- she’s has been home for only 16 months, she had
to adjust to a new family, new home, new environment, new language – anybody
that knows about adoption understands how hard the adjustment can be. Our baby
girl adjusted to her new life like a boss! Yes we had our moments, but nothing
compared to all the stuff we read trying to prepare for our girl during our
wait (and it was a lot of scary stuff we were trying to prepare for…
We are blessed!The adoption journey was brutal but now, having our baby girl with us we can say it was all so worth it! You know what? After all our struggles and the wait, our China trip seem so distant now, almost like a dream…
