In case you were wondering...

Here's a little Update about donations for Love Without Boundaries...
We want to thank our family and friends once again for their love and support as we prepare to bring our daughter home; and of course for their generous donations to Love Without Boundaries in honor of our baby girl!
We just learned that the donations will be used to help a precious baby boy with his medical care. I wish I could share more information about such precious child, unfortunately the information provided by LWB is case sensitive, all I can say…his name is Brendan, he is 5 months old and he is A-d-o-r-a-b-l-e, with a smile that melt hearts(not exaggerating!)
We are happy to be a part of his life even in a small way- Please pray for his health and for him to find his forever family very soon!
Just a little way to thank Love Without Boundaries for providing the care our baby girl needed to thrive! We will forever be grateful to Love Without Boundaries for their love and care when we couldn't be there for her.

Nesting...

There’s so much excitement around here!!!
We have been busy too!

Our packing is almost done
Our home is organized and tidy
Our yard is looking great (we got cherry tomatoes too!)
Childproofing complete
Crib, high chair, car seat and all baby gear and supplies are ready to go
Clothes for our baby girl, clean and folded just waiting to be used
Toys and books are easily accessible

We are ready for our baby girl to come home!!!

We still have a few weeks to go so we will find more things to do to keep busy (otherwise we would go crazy waiting for our travel day!)

Practicing our Chinese words
Practicing our baby sign language words
“Potty” (baby sign language with some extra "weird sounds"
just to make sure she understands :0)
 “Daddy” (baby sign language)
 Just being silly...

God will never leave you empty...

As I sat here trying to form words that make sense, all I can do is just look at our baby girl’s picture and thank God for our blessings. I find myself crying a lot but my tears are of happiness!  We have come such a long way!
Just a few days before we switch to China program we had a very intense conversation about our hopes, dreams and frustrations about our Russian adoption process -We were so tired of being disappointed- nothing about our adoption ever seemed to work,(it seemed all wrong.) The more we pushed the more disappointed and frustrated we became. It was as if we were trying to swim against the current. We were crushed. Passing each day by the girly room we had prepared with so much love and seeing it empty was just too much for us to handle. It was so painful that we decided to put the whole thing behind us and focus on our relationship and our life.
Just like that we decided to give up! No more talking about babies, dolls, tea parties or hair bows…no more :0(
The grieving did not last long because God had a little surprise in store for us-  Less than a week later we received the referral of our little girl!
Here we are nine months later just counting the days to travel to China to meet our daughter!
God works in mysterious ways and who are we to question him right?
We just have trust in him and lean not in our own understanding.

God closed one door but open another one for us...We are so blessed!

Picture of the sad girly room before we turned it into an office :0(
Can't wait to make it look girly again! Of course I have to go shopping for  the makeover but waiting for our girl to come home(so I can have a better sense of her personality ;O)

Quick update...

We finally received the… oh- so- beautiful hard copy of our TA approval via UPS mail! Such pretty stationary! Most importantly the document has our names, our baby girl’s name and her referral picture allowing us to go to China to complete our adoption process!
It’s hard to believe that we are here holding this very important document… we have waited for so long and can’t believe it’s finally here! We are so super excited yet it doesn't feel real.  We don’t think it will really hit us until we are right in front of her :0)
We finally received our consulate appointment…September 17th Thank you Jesus!
We were given the green light today to finalize travel arrangements so we will be busy this weekend working on that.
We are sad that we will not be with our girl to celebrate her 2nd birthday but we will celebrate right after (that’s for sure) plus we have the rest of our lives to celebrate birthdays and so much more…
We are ecstatic, we are excited, we are happy; we are worried, we are anxious, we are scared we are… oh so many emotions :0)
Baby girl, ready or not we are coming soon and we can’t wait to finally meet you and love you forever!

Travel approval!!!
 Count-down begins!
Somebody is definitely counting the days :0)
One more reason to celebrate!!!

Back to the Baby shower post...

We had a wonderful time at our baby shower :0)There were not as many people as it was expected but the people that really mattered where there loving and supporting us as they always do. Everything was perfect from the decoration, details to the food and music. We had a blast!  We are also thankful for the very generous donations given to help little ones still waiting for their families (Love Without Boundaries).
Thank you all for making it happen- we really appreciate everything you have done for us throughout our adoption journey.
Our baby girl will know how excited you all are to welcome her into her new family!

Our  travel theme shower!

Now gotta go back to our travel planning yey!!!

Interrupting the scheduled Baby shower post...

To share the news... We just received our Travel Approval!

Thank you Lord!

We are stressing now over travel dates since my Honey still needs to find coverage for his practice, the company he plans to use need at least a month in advance ugh…
Praying we get to celebrate our baby girl’s 2nd birthday together…

Still super exciting news, Woohoo!

Baby girl, we are coming to get you very soon !!!!

How the wait has been going lately...

There are times when the wait is unbearable, but we try to enjoy the present while we continue to prepare for the future with our precious child.

We try to enjoy our alone time and our quiet evenings because soon there will be a little someone who will be keeping us busy-busy :0)

We continue to check things off from our to-do list

So far…

We finished baby-proofing our home and purchased gifts for key adoption-related people in China

    As for the adoption process...

Our NVC letter was received and delivered right on schedule(article 5 is supposed to be picked up on July 12th  :o)

We received our passports  and Visas~ Woohoo!

Today we requested our last baby update before we travel to China-

    What else...

Of course shopping sprees are still a favorite of mine :0) Sure you knew that already…

We started to “practice our packing skills”  just to get a sense of what we will actually take with us and what will stay- OMG we have one luggage 46 pounds worth of baby paraphernalia. OK we know we have to take some stuff out – we know that’s a little ridiculous :0)

We turn to God for peace and guidance. We continue to pray for our child’s health and well-being  we pray for her foster family, we pray for the people responsible for our adoption process and we pray some more…

Not sure what’s going to happen once the US Consulate in China moves and how things will move along once they re-open, but we know we are getting so close to our daughter…

We are so excited and we just can’t hide it!!!!!

We’re coming baby girl!
