Happy birthday baby girl!!!

Two years ago on the day our baby girl was born, we celebrated the completion of our dossier to Russia. Now we understand that things didn't work out because God had a different plan for us. He was paving the way for us to go to China to meet the one he had chosen to be our daughter :0) And we are so very grateful!

A little sad today because we couldn't be with our girl on her birthday…she is so very far away but we still celebrated her special day (until we are able to celebrate together). Our girl’s birth mother was also on our minds and prayers today…we are so grateful for her choice to give the gift of life to the little one that will be our daughter forever!

 10 days to China!

We can’t wait to meet you, we are looking forward to the day we finally hold you in our arms, kiss you and never let you go…

For the birthday girl...

Our baby girl will be two years old in just a few days, so we decided to order a birthday cake for her special day and a cute dress so she can celebrate in style :0) Happy to say that the cake was beautiful as well as her birthday dress.

If you are adopting from China or know of someone in the process, we recommend Ann from Red Thread, she is wonderful, always makes sure you are satisfied with your order and everything is delivered in a timely fashion. 

We have received so much more than the satisfaction of sending our daughter little gifts until we are able to finally meet her. Sending our daughter little care packages is so worth it... we promise!

Just a few more days...

Our wait to travel has been by far the worst!

Our days have been busy, full of excitement as well as stress and anxiety; we can hardly sleep… we are counting the days until September 4th when we get to travel to China. Needless to say, the days are d-r-a-g-i-n-g. 

Some days are somewhat easy to deal with but other days are just unbearable… We have waited 10 months since we received the referral of our girl, we are sure we can wait just a few more days but... we want to see, hold, kiss her so desperately!!!

We decided against going on vacation before traveling to China (we will probably regret our decision)but we don’t think we would be able to fully relax and enjoy it… we are like two crazy people in a very emotional roller coaster ride :0)

So we decided to visit family, friends and hang out at the Jersey Shore for the weekend …can’t wait for our first family vacation with our precious baby girl in tow!

Happiness is...

Being married to my very best friend,

The one that showers me with love every single day,

The one that is always there to support me unconditionally,

The one that sweetly and tenderly cares for me during the times I am weak

The one that ever- so- patiently listens to my ramblings

The one that always wants to solve all my problems real or imaginary just so I don’t stress over it

The one who stands strong by my side, while offering his shoulder and listening ear when life gets tough

The one that stands by my side cheering me all the way

I am not lucky that I found the man of my dreams…

I am blessed to have him as my husband!

We spend a lot of down time doing a lot of nothing when we get a chance... it has been fun while it lasted :0)

We will miss …

• Going out without planning ahead of time
• Taking Naps at random times
• Wasting time watching mindless TV shows
• Taking long bubble baths without interruptions
• Enjoying our privacy

We will miss living in the moment…

We know life as we know it is about to change forever and we just can’t wait!

We are so looking forward to the next chapter of our lives…

Major cuteness!!!

We received our highly anticipated update yesterday; unfortunately the pictures were uploaded in a weird format so we were unable to enjoy them until today.

As you can imagine we are over-the-moon, we are totally in love with our precious daughter. She is just so freakin cute, we can’t stand it :0)

According to her update…

• She is able to speak clearly/able to communicate wants and needs
• She is developmentally on target
• She is not a picky eater 
• She is currently potty training(use diapers at night time)
• She loves to play at the park

We don’t know what to think about her measurements. This is our third update since we started our adoption process and the measurements have not changed much. It is strange, the pictures clearly show how much she has changed since December but according to the update she weights as much as she did back then not a pound more, not a pound less (go figure)

Call me crazy but I see her so huge …I am hoping it is just the pictures.

The realization that our baby girl is not such a baby any more make my heart sad. She’s growing so fast :0(

So excited, we got out plane tickets!!!

More amazing… one of the tickets has our baby girl’s name on it!!!!

We are stressing over the details, but so very happy... finally!

We did not bother to check airline reviews but decided to go with Cathay Pacific, hopefully we will have a good experience.

Can you believe upgrading tickets from coach to business class for two adults and a toddler cost more than $10,000? We kinda entertained the idea simply because it is such a long flight with our little one in tow; but that’s just crazy! we rather go on vacation once cocooning time is done :o)

Please keep our little girl in your prayers; she will be going through so many changes in such a short period of time. Please pray for an easy adjustment. Her little world is going to be turned upside- down in just a few weeks. I &A
