Our lives just like everyone around the world has been turned upside down. We had no idea how things were going to change in a matter of just a few short weeks.
First week of March we were working and carrying-on with our lives as usual, all of a sudden, our girl started to feel ill around the same time a State-wide shutdown was declared! what a nightmare!
Our precious girl is seriously ill and the specialists are not sure how to deal with her medical condition at this time. We are praying because at this time we have no answers. Our girl is overseen by 3 teams of specialists but no clear information on what they will do to help her. It is so overwhelming...It is so hard to see her in pain and not being able to help her. She is such a trooper! She deals with her pain and constant poking and prodding without complain. We just feel blessed to be by her side. She has a Mommy and Daddy that adore her and will be with her no matter what. She no longer needs to feel alone or be in a hospital by herself.

It has been a crazy week in the hospital and no answers yet. The doctors are being overly cautious and trying to be conservative with the treatment until they get more answers. Our girl has been bombarded with all kinds of testings but thorough it all she remains a champ!. All the doctors and nurses have been amazing and very encouraging. We continue to pray because we know God has the answer and we have faith that our girl will get better!
Our girl got surgery :O( The doctors really tried to avoid it as the surgery could have serious consequences for our girl but under the circumstances they had to do what they believed was best for her. Although the surgery itself was successful, she developed very serious complications soon after. It was devastating and scary in so many levels! She stayed in the hospital for 10 more days. It was extra hard as only one parent was allowed to see/stay with her due to Covid-19. Not having that emotional support made everything so much more difficult to deal with.
Our sweet girl was released from the hospital but not discharged as she must complete her treatment at home. The doctors felt she would be safer at home (due to increase in Covid-19 cases in the hospital) as long as we remain in isolation. We are so happy to have her back home!!! Antonio decided to temporarily close his practice to stay home with us!
While in the hospital, we didn't mention Covid-19 to our girl but there was something weighing on her...her main concern was not being healthy enough to take part in "our wedding". We wanted to reassure her so... there was a cute teddy and bracelet waiting for our girl! We will celebrate when the time is right but we want our girl to continue planning for "our wedding". She is so excited about being our flower girl

She is in full wedding planning mode. She already chose colors (blush pink of course) All she talks is about her trip to Kleinfeld's in the hopes to not only try on her chosen Hayley Paige flower girl dress but also meeting Randy and her favorite designer yep... Hayley Paige! My sweet girl has no idea that New York has been devastated by Covid-19 :o( We accomplish nothing by telling her. We are just focused on her health and recovery.

No matter what, there's always a smile on our girl's face which warm our hearts so so much!
A little fresh air for our girl! She was happy to read a few books while in her play house. Our girl is growing so much, soon she will not be able to fit in there!

April 9th -Today is a big day! Our girl is all done with her treatment and she is ready to get her PICC line out!!!

discharged from the hospital!
Home sweet home!
It has been a very difficult journey but through it all God has been our strength! Miracles are real. God has blessed us without measure! We are very thankful to all the medical teams and nurses who cared for our girl, they were amazing but God is the one we praise!
We thank God for healing our girl. When the doctors didn't have answers, God had the answer,
When the doctors didn't know if our girl would make it,
God was holding her in the palm of his hand. He healed her! God made the impossible possible.
We are beyond thankful, we are blessed!
Forever we will praise him!
