First I want to thank my bloggy friends for their constant support, also the members of yahoo group for
adoptive families who provided me with valuable tips and advice to help with Gracie’s
eating issues. We greatly appreciate your input and your prayers.
I am happy to say that she is doing better. She continues
to hold food in her mouth and chew for a long time but at least she is eating
her food (even if it takes forever to eat a few bites :0)
Some of her favorites include: egg
whites, oatmeal, cheerios, rice, noodles (of course)yogurt, bananas, apples,
gold fish crackers, peach puffs, strawberry melts, and she has been drinking her
toddler formula woohoo! So yes, she’s doing much, much better…Mommy & Daddy are so relieved!
Our main issue right now is during nap time and bed time.
Although she is active, engaging and happy during the day, she is still grieving (big time)
When she gets sleepy… that’s when she cries, kicks, hits and call her Foster
Mother :0( It is so difficult to see her grieving that way and so frustrating that there is nothing we can do other than love her through it.
The good thing is
that she allow us to comfort her – she is also very affectionate and constantly
shower us with kisses and hugs, oh so sweet!
She is also a fast learner.. she’s a smart Cupcake :0)
Check out pictures with traditional Chinese dress :0)
For
This Child ,
I prayed and the Lord has granted me
what I asked of him
