We don’t know when, but we know we WILL (in
a very near future) go to China to get our baby girl, so we have to prepare.
Learning basic Chinese words (on our to-do list for a while now) We just haven’t gotten around it, we were just way too preoccupied with our dossier preparation to focus on learning a new language.

Ok so now that we are done with the paperwork craziness we think
it’s about time to get started…
Not so fast…
As much as we would love to learn Chinese (Mandarin) language, we know
it is a seriously difficult language to learn. In order to learn the
language you have to learn thousands of characters (not exaggerating) not to
mention that you must learn how to pronounce the words. Two words may be
spelled exactly the same but depending on the pronunciation they may have
different meanings for example: that guòjiǎng means "you flatter me" while guǒjiàng means "fruit
paste". Imagine we are trying to express our gratitude and end up cursing
someone by accident (what a nightmare!) Not happening,so we will settle just by learning a few basic words to be polite.
Ni hao= Hello
Ni hao ma=How are you
xie-xie=thank you
zai jian_ good bye
Wo ai ni (love you) we will saying this a lot :0)
Yeah, it doesn’t get any simpler than that.
First I wanted to check out pronunciation,so I went on YouTube to check out videos and
found these (Kid level of course :0) learn Chinese with Emma
Guess it’s a start,
Maybe we should get one of this…
Or this one :0)
